Hummus
Ingredients:
Hummus:
Garbanzo Beans (1 can, including the water)
Plain Greek yogurt (2 tbsp)
Tahini (1 tbsp)
Garlic (1 clove)
Lemon Juice (half to full lemon)
Salt (to taste)
Garnish:
Lemon juice (half to full lemon)
Jalapeño (half)
Mint (1 tbsp)
Tomato (1 tbsp)
Cilantro (1 tbsp)
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
Using a food processor or blender, add garbanzo beans, yogurt, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and salt and blend until smooth.
Slowly add garbanzo bean water as you blend for desired consistency.
Plate hummus in a shallow bowl. You can also use the back of a metal spoon to smooth out the hummus or make pretty ridges.
For garnish: take lemon juice, mint, jalapeño, tomato, cilantro, salt & pepper and mash up using a mortar and pestle.
Garnish hummus and top with olive oil. I also like to add some pitted kalamata olives and sumac for extra pizzazz.
Enjoy with pita bread or veggies
